The season will open in November with the Tony Award-nominated comedy, Tribute, by Bernard Slade, the author of the popular and hysterical Same Time, Next Year. Tribute was also one of the shows that cemented Jack Lemmon's star status and was later made into a popular movie. We are delighted to welcome newcomer Lance Norris of Tribute.
Our spring musical will be the sexy and powerful musical, Cabaret, directed by Wellesley Players member Richard Repetta and musically directed by Member Rob Wendel with choreography by Michael Hogman. You loved Richard's productions of La Cage aux Folles and Seussical. You won't want to miss this blockbuster musical with its award-winning score by Kander & Ebb and show stopping numbers such as Cabaret, Wilkommen and Maybe This Time.
For the second season in a row the Players will produce a children's theater piece in the winter, Hansel and Gretel, as we continue our outreach to the community, and work to build our membership base.
Your continued membership support and active participation is critical to our success. As an all volunteer group who share a passion for both theater and teamwork, we look forward to your renewing your membership and joining us on the boards, in the audience and backstage. Our membership base is our foundation and without it we would not have the resources, both financial and volunteer-wise, to produce our 83rd season.
